Meet the Face Behind VanEykeren Accounting Services
I’m Alison VanEykeren, the proud owner of VanEykeren Accounting Services. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
From a young age, I always had a passion for helping people and a knack for numbers. So after graduating from Loyalist College, becoming a certified payroll practitioner with the Canadian Payroll Association, an accredited tax preparation specialist with the Canadian Revenue Agency, and gathering twenty years of experience, I established VanEykeren Accounting Services in February 2018.
During my twenty years in the financial field, I worked with charities and non-profit organizations and worked extensively with many businesses, small and large, in the private sector. I now serve a variety of local Ontario businesses.
The part of my work that I most enjoy is helping individuals understand the financial side of their business. This can be as simple as setting up a spreadsheet for them, training them on accounting software, or reviewing their financial statements with them.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my clear accountability. I also try my best to be there for my clients, answer their questions as accurately as possible, and make sure they understand the data I am providing.
I attribute my success to my years of experience, hard work, and never-say-die attitude when it comes to taking care of clients.
Assisting my client with audits, making them understand what was being requested and ensuring the audit is a success, and proving my worth again and again has given me immense satisfaction over the years. It encourages me to stay the same with my approach to my clients and offer the same level of service and professionalism.
When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening and traveling. I also believe in giving back to society and, as part of that belief, have previously volunteered with Operation Red Nose, CFB Trenton Spouses group, Community Advocacy, and Legal Centre, and Lower Trent Valley Fish and Game club. I was even awarded the Governor General’s Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers in 2018 and like helping in my community whenever I can.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how they influence my business.
If you or someone you know could benefit from my accounting and tax preparation expertise, I invite you to get in touch. I am certified with the Canadian Revenue Agency to prepare and file both individual and corporate taxes and serve clients across Stockdale, Quinte West, Frankford, Prince Edward County, Norwood, Belleville, Madoc, and the surrounding areas.
